The Gothic connection is taken up by Fox in both Goth, the 2nd and 3rd Century CE Germanic invader of Christian Europe and representing the epitomy of uncivilized peoples, and Golgotha being an Hebrew place of skulls and the death place of Jesus Christ believed by some Christians to be a tripartite entity: god, the son of god and the holy ghost or spirit of god.  It is a numerical noun meaning a very large number, which is taken specifically as 1 followed by 100 zeros, invented by Edward Kasner circa 1935.  In these respects Fox takes it that Google has come to mean an invasion on a vast scale disrupting the 'civilized' status quo and which that carries with it the implication or tones of Golgotha, which is to say of human sacrifice and the empty skull representing the displacement of human being to an virtual elsewhere of parallel being.
