Songs of Nocence

Light is Breaking Song

Now light is breaking in the skies
When all was black before your eyes
And only monsters roamed the storms
Subjects of your inner forms
Dark and fearsome rising high
To occupy the blinded sky,
Where they crouched beneath the wind
Knowing it was you that sinned.

Now light is breaking in the skies
When all is black before your eyes,
Now light is breaking in the skies
When all is black before your eyes.

But now that light is breaking out
You can see that all about
Are only mountains free and wild
Where the vision of a child
Reveals the water, earth and air
Of a world that seems so fair;
Though broken shapes, exposed and bare
May haunt the daylight with you there.

New light is breaking in the skies
And all is black before your eyes,
New light is breaking in the skies
And all is black before your eyes.
